Madeline Michalopulos, M.D.

Biography

Madeline Michalopulos, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of the division of Hospital Medicine. Her clinical interests include pediatric-to-adult transitional care, healthcare access for underserved patients, and health inequities.

Originally from Oklahoma, Dr. Michalopulous holds a bachelor's degree in multidisciplinary sciences with a minor in medical humanities from the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, where she graduated magna cum laude. She remained there to complete her medical degree, and obtained additional training in addressing the social determinants of health through the university's School of Community Medicine. She then completed her residency training in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, where she also served as Chief Resident. 

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, she joined the faculty in 2021.

Dr. Michalopulos is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians.

During her free time, she enjoys cooking with her husband, viniculture, kickboxing and travel.
