Biography
Mahesh Thiagarajah, M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Associate Chief of its Acute Care New Innovation and Transformation program at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
After earning his medical degree at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Dr. Thiagarajah completed a residency in emergency medicine at UT Southwestern.
Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.
Among his other roles at UTSW, Dr. Thiagarajah is a member of the Emergency Medicine Alumni Board and serves on the PMH Clinical Operations Committee for the Department of Emergency Medicine and the ED Process Improvement Think Tank at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital.
In addition to his clinical focus on emergency medicine, he has a special interest in improving clinical efficiency, innovation, and process improvement.
Dr. Thiagarajah is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Texas College of Emergency Physicians.
Personal Note
When he’s not at work, Dr. Thiagarajah enjoys playing soccer and golf and coaching youth sports.
