Biography
Malika Gupta, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in pediatric allergy and immunology.
Dr. Gupta earned her medical degree at Kasturba Medical College in India. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and gained advanced training through a clinical fellowship in allergy and immunology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She also completed research in pediatric asthma and food allergies at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023. She previously served as an Assistant Professor and clinical faculty member at the Mount Sinai Jaffe Food Allergy Institute in New York and at the University of Michigan, where she specialized in the care of patients with all varieties of allergic conditions. Her primary focus is food allergies.
Throughout her career, Dr. Gupta has been involved in myriad research studies in the fields of pediatric food allergy and asthma. Her research and clinical interests have focused on the diagnosis and management of food allergies, food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome, and eosinophilic esophagitis. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and delivered several invited lectures and presentations.
