Biography

Mary Claire Maxwell, M.S.N., APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner in the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Her clinical focus is in gastrointestinal (GI) medical oncology, managing patients with colorectal, pancreatic, and other GI cancers.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin. She worked as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit, and then as a nurse practitioner in internal medicine. Throughout her education and work experience, she developed a special interest in hematology and oncology.

She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
