Biography
Nilum Rajora, M.D., is a Professor in the Division of Nephrology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She is a specialist in kidney transplant medicine and serves as Medical Director for the DaVita/UT Southwestern Dallas East dialysis unit, the William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital dialysis unit, and Zale Lipshy University Hospital’s acute dialysis unit.
Dr. Rajora earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in nephrology.
Certified in internal medicine and nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2007.
Dr. Rajora has contributed to chapters in internal medicine and pathology books and has published a number of articles on renal disease and transplantation.
She is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), as well as an ISN Educational Ambassador, a position that allows her to collaborate on research, teaching, and clinical projects with Delta State University Teaching Hospital in Nigeria. She also assists UT Southwestern Medical School with medical students’ global health rotations in India.

Dr. Rajora’s interests outside of medicine include spending time with her family, traveling, and cooking.
