Biography

Robert Stephenson, M.P.A.S., PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA) in the Department of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in vascular and interventional radiology. 

Mr Stephenson holds a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He then received a a master's degree in physician assistant studies at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. 

Prior to joining the UT Southwestern Vascular & Interventional Radiology team in 2018, he worked for three years at Baylor Scott & White Family Medicine at Uptown in Dallas and for three years at HealthFirst Azle Family Medicine in Azle, Texas.

Mr. Stephenson began his medical career in the U.S. Armed Services, serving as a hospital corpsman in the Navy and then as a combat medic in the Army. In 2006, he received a Bronze Star for his service in Afghanistan, and in 2007 he received a Commendation Medal for his service in Iraq.

He is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
