Biography

Samantha Kimbrough, MSN, APRN, A-GNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in liver transplant medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Mrs. Kimbrough earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. She began her nursing career in 2011 as a surgical/trauma ICU nurse at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2017, Mrs. Kimbrough shifted to transplant medicine as a pre-liver transplant coordinator at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She joined UT Southwestern as a liver transplant coordinator in 2021 and transitioned to her current role as a nurse practitioner in 2023. Mrs. Kimbrough is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP), the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease (AASLD), the American Society of Transplantation (AST), and Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society.
