Biography
Sandy Diep, M.S.N., APRN, FNP-BC, CNN-NP, is a dual board-certified nurse practitioner in family practice (FNP-BC) and nephrology (CNN-NP) in the Department of Internal Medicine – Nephrology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in nephrology and has a clinical interest in polycystic kidney disease and glomerular diseases.
Ms. Diep received her undergraduate nursing degree from Texas Woman's University as part of the Honors Scholar Program. She later returned to Texas Woman's University to earn her Master of Science in Nursing at the T. Boone Pickens Institute of Health Sciences – Dallas Center in 2013.
Ms. Diep has received multiple awards in her career, including the Diana and Richard C. Strauss Service Excellence Award and the Texas Nurses Association’s 25 Outstanding Texas Nurses Award. She collaborates with interprofessional colleagues and patients to make shared decisions that align with evidence-based practice while respecting each patient’s unique cultural and personal beliefs.
In addition to English, Ms. Diep speaks multiple languages and is proficient in Japanese.
