Biography

Sandy Diep, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified nurse practitioner (NP) in the Department of Internal Medicine - Nephrology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in nephrology and has a clinical interest in polycystic kidney disease and glomerular diseases. She received her undergraduate degree in nursing at Texas Woman's University as part of the Honors Scholar Program. Ms. Diep then returned to Texas Woman's University to earn her Masters in Nursing at the T. Boone Pickens Institute of Health Sciences - Dallas Center in 2013. Ms. Diep is highly decorated and has earned multiple awards in her career. She is a recipient of the Diana and Richard C. Strauss Service Excellence Award and the Texas Nurses Association 25 Outstanding Texas Nurses Award. She collaborates with interprofessional colleagues and patients to make shared decisions that best align with evidence-based practice while considering each patient's unique cultural and personal beliefs. She speaks multiple languages and is proficient in Japanese.
