Biography

Stephanie Pipes is an occupational therapist in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in rehabilitation of the hand, elbow, and upper extremity. Her clinical focus is on fabrication of custom orthotic devices, therapeutic and rehabilitative treatment for wrist and hand fractures, and application of Kinesiotape for injuries to the hand and upper extremities.

Ms. Pipes earned her Master of Occupational Therapy degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed student fieldwork at various hospitals and rehabilitation institutes in Texas. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in child development from Texas Woman’s University.

Board certified in occupational therapy, Ms. Pipes joined UT Southwestern in 2020.

She is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists.

Personal Note

Outside of work, Ms. Pipes enjoys travelling. In 2022 alone, she and her husband went on three cruises and traveled to 13 countries.
