Victory Akem, M.S.N., WHNP-BC, FNP-C

Biography

Victory Akem, M.S.N., WHNP-BC, FNP-C, is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner and a certified family nurse practitioner in the main campus Ob/Gyn and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Ms. Akem completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center-Lincoln and earned her Master of Science in nursing with a focus on women’s health from the University of Nebraska Medical Center-Omaha. She worked in obstetrics and gynecology in Phoenix in 2018 before returning to graduate school to complete a post-master’s certificate in family nurse practice in 2020 from Grand Canyon University.

Ms. Akem's favorite aspects of her work include providing holistic health care to women of all ages and equipping women with the tools and resources to achieve optimal health. She enjoys caring for obstetrics patients and managing gynecologic patients' complications with a compassionate approach.

Personal Note

When she's not at work, Ms. Akem enjoys photography – especially capturing peoples' birthday portraits – as well as exploring the city with friends and resting on the weekends.
