Biography

Dr. Wali Badar is an Assistant Professor of Radiology in theVascular Interventional Radiology Division. He earned his undergraduate degree in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) before obtaining his medical degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He recently completed an integrated Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Residency at UIC, where he also earned a Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Science. Dr. Badar's clinical interests include interventional oncology, musculoskeletal embolization, and the management of portal hypertension. His research focuses on hepatocellular carcinoma, portal hypertension, genicular artery embolization, and liquid biopsy.

 

Dr. Badar joined our faculty in July 2026.
