Biography

Walter Green, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. 

Dr. Green earned his medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. 

Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2011. 

Dr. Green serves on several committees, including the coding and nomenclature national committee for the American College of Emergency Physicians and the faculty development national committee for the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine. He is Associate Editor of Critical Decisions in Emergency Medicine.

The author of numerous academic articles pertaining to emergency medicine, Dr. Green regularly delivers national and international invited lectures. His research interests include medical education research, infectious diseases in emergency medicine, and billing and coding in emergency medicine.
