Biography
William Griffith, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in benign and preinvasive disorders of the lower anogenital tract, infectious diseases of the lower genital tract, and sexual health.
Dr. Griffith earned his medical degree at the University of Colorado Health Science Center. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Parkland Memorial Hospital, serving as Chief Resident his final year.
Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2001.
Among his other roles, Dr. Griffith is the Associate Medical Director of Gynecology Dysplasia Services and the Director of Gynecology Vulvology Services for Parkland Health.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, the Dallas County Medical Society, the Southwest Gynecologic Assembly, and the Texas Medical Association. In addition, he is an ad hoc reviewer for Doody’s Review Service.
Dr. Griffith’s research interests include HPV vaccination investigations. He has published numerous academic articles and written chapters for multiple editions of Williams Gynecology.

In his free time, Dr. Griffith enjoys reading, traveling, and working out.
