Biography
Amanda Clark, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in pediatric nephrology.
Dr. Clark earned her medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. She received advanced training through a pediatric nephrology clinical fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital and Children’s Medical Center Dallas. She was also a postdoctoral researcher in the Samir Parikh Lab at both Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard and UT Southwestern.
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.
Dr. Clark’s research focuses on how maternal and fetal metabolism affects fetal kidney development. She has served as Principal Investigator on research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health, the American Society of Nephrology, and the Pediatric Physician Scientist Development Program. She has delivered international and national invited lectures and published peer-reviewed academic articles related to her areas of expertise.
She is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology, and the International Society of Nephrology.
