Biography

Amanda Bower (Pritchett), MSW, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in treating depression, anxiety, interpersonal difficulties, intimate relationship issues, gender dysphoria, concerns with sexuality and trauma. With specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive processing therapy (CPT), she incorporates these therapeutic modalities in her individual and group therapy work.

Amanda grew up in the Dallas area and moved to St. Louis, Missouri, for college. In 2010, she graduated from Saint Louis University with her Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW), then in 2012 with her Master of Social Work (MSW), with an emphasis in clinical practice. Amanda joined the staff of the UT Southwestern Psychiatry Clinic in 2019, where she continues her individual and group therapy work with adults.
