Biography

Angela Bazzell, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, AOCNP, is an Advanced Practice Provider Program Manager in Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Texas at Austin, Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. She completed a Post Graduate Fellowship in Oncology Nursing at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She also achieved the distinction of becoming certified as an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) through the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) and was selected as a 2018 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Future of Nursing Scholar, receiving a Certificate of Graduate Studies from Duke University. She is currently a member of the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology (APSHO) and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), and on the Peer Review Board for the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing.
