Biography

Anum Dadwani, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in pediatric hospital medicine.

Dr. Dadwani earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed a residency in pediatrics at UT Southwestern and Children’s Medical Center Dallas and received advanced training in pediatric hospital medicine through a fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

Dr. Dadwani’s clinical interests include ensuring safe discharge and transitions of care to outpatient settings for high-risk patients, as well as reducing overuse of medical resources in the health care system. She has delivered numerous presentations and contributed to the book Caring for the Hospitalized Child: A Handbook of Inpatient Pediatrics.

She is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics, including its Section on Hospital Medicine.
