Biography

Anusha Govind, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and opportunistic infections, pre-exposure prophylaxis of HIV, viral hepatitis infections (hepatitis B and hepatitis C), and general infectious disease management.

Dr. Govind earned her medical degree at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. She completed both her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in infectious diseases at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in infectious diseases, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2020.

Dr. Govind is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians. She has published numerous academic articles.
