From our founding more than 60 years ago, the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center has grown steadily in size and national distinction. Today, the department has a worldwide reputation as one of the nation’s finest.
Our objective is to be even better next year than we are this year. We constantly work toward that goal by offering the very best multidisciplinary patient care, conducting innovative breakthrough research, and training the next generation of internal medicine specialists.
Meet the Team
Our primary and secondary faculty includes two Nobel Prize winners and a variety of prestigious chair and distinguished chair titles. Our faculty is renowned for providing excellent education, research, and patient care.
We continuously conduct basic science and clinical research with the goal of bringing the latest medical breakthroughs from the bench to the bedside. Our multidisciplinary approach to research fosters an ideal environment for physicians, scientists, and students to collaborate and cooperate.
