Biography

Audra Clark, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in acute and reconstructive burn care, critical care, and acute kidney injury in critical care.

Dr. Clark completed all of her medical training at UT Southwestern, including medical school, her residency in general surgery, a research fellowship in general surgery, and a clinical fellowship in surgery critical care.

Certified by the American Board of Surgery, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021.

Dr. Clark is the Medical Student Clerkship Site Director for Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at UT Southwestern. She’s a member of the Family and Maternal Planning Department of Surgery Taskforce and the General Medical Education Committee on Wellness and Wellbeing.

She has published countless articles and has co-authored chapters of books including Handbook of Burns and Surgical Decision Making.

In 2020, she received the Outstanding Chief Resident Teaching Award at UT Southwestern.
