Biography

Azadeh Namiranian, M.P.A.S., PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA) in the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She works in Infusion Medicine and Simmons Acute Care in an outpatient setting. She has over 11 years experience as a Physician Assistant. She received her undergraduate degrees in Communication Studies and Spanish at The University of Texas at Austin in 2001. She worked in finance prior to becoming a PA. During this time, she regularly volunteered in the Emergency Department at Parkland Hospital, and decided to pursue her passion in medicine. She then earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at UT Southwestern in 2011. Most recently, before joining UT Southwestern, she worked at Parkland Hospital in Gynecologic Oncology in the outpatient clinic / chemotherapy setting. She also has experience in subspecialties in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Transplant. She has a passion for Oncology, acute care symptom management, and management of care for patients undergoing chemotherapy. She is a published co-author in the Journal of American Academy of PAs in March 2023. Additionally, she has lectured PA students at UT Southwestern, and served as a clinical preceptor.
