Biography

Azeez Osho, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in gastroenterology.

Dr. Osho earned his medical degree at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed a residency in internal medicine and received advanced training through a gastroenterology fellowship, both at UT Southwestern.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2026.

Dr. Osho’s clinical interests include medical outreach in underserved populations.

He is the founder and former co-president of the UT Southwestern Medical Center Minority Housestaff Association. In addition, he is an active member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Association of Black Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists, and the American Gastroenterological Association.

Dr. Osho has contributed to several publications, including The American Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatoma Research.

In 2021, he earned UT Southwestern’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award.

Personal Note

When he’s not at work, Dr. Osho enjoys weightlifting, traveling, and watching football.
