Biography
Bau Tran, Ph.D., PharmD, MMS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA) in the Department of Internal Medicine - Primary Care at UT Southwestern Medical Center RedBird. He completed his physician assistant training in 2008 at Red Rocks Physician Assistant Program in Arvada, CO, and his Master of Medical Science from St. Francis University. In addition, he completed a physician assistant fellowship program in Critical Care Medicine with an emphasis in Emergency Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA. More recently, he completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Learning Technology from the University of North Texas. Prior to his work at UT Southwestern Medical Center, he received his Bachelor of Pharmacy in 1997 and his Doctorate in Pharmacology in 2001 from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. His clinical experiences have focused on Primary Care since 2009 and Infectious Disease with an interest in preventative medicine. Outside of his clinical duties, he spends most of his time teaching in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, as well as the Department of Surgery.
