Biography

Ben Johnson, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Originally from Atlanta, he received undergraduate degrees in biology and psychology at the University of Georgia and his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed residency training in internal medicine at UT Southwestern and subsequently stayed on as a hospitalist at Parkland Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Johnson is a strong general internist specializing in the care of hospitalized patients, with a particular interest in point-of-care ultrasound. Outside of his clinical practice, he is most interested in health systems science. He is the founder of the Health Systems Pathway within the internal medicine residency and remains a faculty mentor for this curriculum.
