Biography
Brandon Jakubowski, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in pulmonary vascular disease, pulmonary hypertension, and chronic thromboembolic disease.
Dr. Jakubowski earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine and received advanced training through a pulmonary and critical care fellowship. Upon completing his fellowship, he joined the clinical faculty at the University of California, Los Angeles. In 2024, he returned to UT Southwestern as a faculty member.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and internal medicine.
Dr. Jakubowski is also a member of the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.
He has delivered presentations, contributed to the book Murray & Nadel’s Textbook of Respiratory Medicine, and published academic articles related to his areas of expertise.
Personal Note
When he’s not at work, Dr. Jakubowski enjoys spending time with his wife, dog, and cat. He also enjoys visiting local restaurants, cooking, motorsport racing, and woodworking.
