Biography
Carlos P. Cardenas, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), obstructive lung disease, and general pulmonary medicine.
Dr. Cardenas earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed a residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern, where he also served as Chief Resident and completed fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and pulmonary medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021.
He has delivered numerous presentations related to his specialties.
