Biography

Catherine Chen, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of its Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Chen earned her medical degree at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Washington University in St. Louis, where she also received advanced training through a fellowship in pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Chen joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2015.

Dr. Chen’s research interests include database analytics and predictive algorithms to improve patient outcomes in intensive care units.

She is a member of the American Thoracic Society.
