Biography

ChiYon Carroll, M.S.N., APRN, AGPCNP-BC, OCN, is a board-certified adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner at the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Her clinical focus is the management of patients undergoing treatment and surveillance for genitourinary malignancies. She also serves as a provider at the Cancer Center Building infusion services on the Dallas main campus.

She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Houston, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1999, and at Texas Woman's University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2020. She worked as a research assistant at MD Anderson Cancer Center for two years and has worked as an oncology nurse for 12 years, primarily at Baylor University Medical Center and UT Southwestern Medical Center, in various roles and settings.

She has a special interest in caring for oncology patients and oncology research. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
