Biography

ChiYon Carroll, M.S.N., APRN, AGPCNP-BC, OCN, is a board-certified Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) in the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate studies from University of Houston, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1999 and Texas Woman's University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010. She then earned her Master of Science in Nursing at University of Texas at Arlington in Adult Gerontology Primary Care in 2020 and completed her Post Master's Certification in Adult Gerontology Acute Care in 2022. She has worked as a research assistant at MD Anderson Cancer Center for 2 years and has worked as an oncology nurse for 12 years, primarily at Baylor University Medical Center and UT Southwestern Medical Center, in various roles and settings. She has a special interest in caring for oncology patients and oncology research. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
