Biography

Christina Stylianou Sanchez, MSN, APRN, CPNP-AC/PC, PA-C, is a board-certified Acute and Primary Care Nurse Practitioner practicing in the Department of Pediatrics - Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Clinical Nutrition and Children's Health. Mrs. Sanchez completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010, and then earned her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas in Arlington in 2015. She has worked in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and clinical Nutrition since 2016 with a particular focus in acute liver failure. She completed The American Association for the Study of Liver Disease (AASLD) APP Hepatology Fellowship in 2018. She was awarded the Children's Health Advanced Practice Professional Quality Care Award in 2019.

Mrs. Sanchez is passionate about patient safety and quality initiatives. She helped create a multidisciplinary team in efforts to improve patient's outcomes with Acute Liver Failure. She has also been an active member with the Children's Health Simulation team and program and will help create and facilitate Simulation. Since the fall of 2022, Mrs. Sanchez has been the gastroenterology hepatology, and clinical nutrition consult APP for the Plano Children's Health campus with a strong interest in inflammatory bowel disease. She has provided multiple educational offerings to multidisciplinary teams regarding various GI topics. She is also an active member of the Association of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Nurses (APGNN) and serves on multiple committees.
