Biography

Christopher Roe, M.B.A., D.N.P., CENP, APRN, ACNP-BC, currently serves as the Adult Specialty Director for the Office of Advanced Practice Providers and is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner in the Department of Internal Medicine-Cardiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Roe completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware and then earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004. He subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Wilmington University and Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Baylor University, during which he developed a competency-based development and mentorship program for future advanced practice provider leaders. Dr. Roe has served in a variety of advanced practice leadership positions throughout his career, while maintaining a clinical practice in adult cardiology caring for patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. He is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Cardiology and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
