Biography
Cindy Garcia, M.S.N., APRN, AGACNP-BC, is a board-certified nurse practitioner in the Department of Internal Medicine – Digestive and Liver Diseases at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Ms. Garcia, a Texas native, completed both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Texas at Arlington. She began her nursing career in 2015 as a cardiac step-down nurse, followed by work in the cardiac ICU, where she was introduced to the kidney and liver transplant population at Medical City Fort Worth.
In 2019, Ms. Garcia transitioned to the outpatient setting, working as a nurse in the kidney and liver disease clinic at UT Southwestern Medical Center. From 2020 to 2023, she worked as a nurse at the kidney and liver transplant clinic before moving into her current role as a nurse practitioner in 2023.
Ms. Garcia is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
