Biography

Clay Yaklin, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Yaklin earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. He also completed a fellowship in hospice and palliative care at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric emergency medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2020.

Dr. Yaklin serves on numerous committees for UT Southwestern, including the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Experience Standards Committee, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
