Biography

Cristopher Cipriano, D.N.P., APRN, AGACNP-BC, FNP-C, is a dual board-certified nurse practitioner in the Department of Internal Medicine - Hematology/Oncology in the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He provides comprehensive care to patients with complex hematologic and oncologic conditions, with a clinical focus on advanced therapies, including bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapies.

Dr. Cipriano earned his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He completed his Master of Science in Nursing at Simmons University in 2019, followed by a postmaster’s professional certification at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2021. In 2025, he earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice from Chamberlain University. His doctoral project focused on the early assessment of distress in hematology-oncology patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapies, with an emphasis on improving patient-centered outcomes.

Dr. Cipriano is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Texas Nurse Practitioners, and the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology. He also serves as an adjunct clinical professor in the university of Texas at Arlington’s Graduate Acute Care Gerontology Nurse Practitioner program, where he contributes to the education and mentorship of future advanced practice nurses. His scholarly interests include quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and addressing clinician burnout in oncology practice.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Cipriano enjoys spending time with his loved ones, staying active, exploring local coffee shops, and traveling internationally.
