Derek Ngai, M.D.

Biography

Derek Ngai, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Ngai earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern School of Medicine. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Children’s Health in Dallas, where he also received advanced training through a pediatric gastroenterology fellowship. He then completed a fellowship in clinical informatics at UT Southwestern.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric gastroenterology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

He is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Informatics Association.
