Biography

Geetanjali Srivastava, M.D., M.P.H., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in pediatric emergency medicine.

Dr. Srivastava earned her medical degree at the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Chicago Medical Center and received advanced training through a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C.

She also holds a master’s degree in public health policy from the University of Texas Houston.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric emergency medicine, she first joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2009, serving as an Assistant Professor until 2014. After serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Stanford University School of Medicine, she returned to UT Southwestern in 2023.

Dr. Srivastava is a Fellow of Emergency Medicine in the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her research interests include mycoplasma pneumoniae in cerebrospinal fluid, health policy, and community outreach.
