Biography
Halima Janjua, M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in pediatric nephrology.
Dr. Janjua earned her medical degree at the King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Michigan and Wayne State University in 2008. In 2011, she received advanced training in pediatric nephrology through a fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University.
Board certified in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021.
Dr. Janjua’s clinical interests include kidney transplantation, hypertension, and kidney stones. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Society of Nephrology, the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology, the American Society of Transplantation, the International Pediatric Nephrology Association, and the Pediatric Nephrology Research Consortium.
