Biography
Hayden Andrews, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is a member of the Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine and specializes in the prevention and treatment of HIV, general infectious diseases, and anal cancer screening.
Dr. Andrews earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by a fellowship in infectious diseases at the combined Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital program in Boston.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.
Dr. Andrews leads the anal dysplasia clinic for Parkland HIV Services, a department of Parkland Health, using high-resolution anoscopy to screen for and treat precancerous anal lesions. His research focuses on anal cancer screening for people with HIV and optimizing its deployment in under-resourced settings.
He is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the International Anal Neoplasia Society, the Texas Medical Association, and the Dallas County Medical Society.

When he’s not at work, Dr. Andrews enjoys playing tennis, spending time with his family, and traveling.
