Ilene Chiu, M.D.

Biography

Ilene Chiu, M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She is a general otolaryngologist who treats a broad spectrum of conditions of the ears, nose, and throat. Dr. Chiu will be providing outpatient services at Moncrief Medical Center in Fort Worth and surgical care at Texas Health Clearfork. She also serves as the medical director for the Fort Worth center.

Dr. Chiu completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with highest honors. She earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where she also completed her residency in the Bobby R. Alford Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr. Chiu joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017.

Dr. Chiu is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the Texas Medical Association, the Tarrant County Medical Society, and the Texas Association of Otolaryngology. She was selected for Texas Monthly’s Super Doctors: Rising Stars list in 2023 and 2024.

When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Chiu enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with family, and exploring Fort Worth.
