Biography
Ingy Khattaby, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in general obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Khattaby earned her medical degree at the Alexandria Faculty of Medicine in Egypt. She completed a residency in obstetrics, gynecology, and infertility in New York City at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident of Education. In addition, Dr. Khattaby earned a master’s degree in global health at Northwestern University.
Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024. She serves as MS4 OB/GYN Clerkship Director for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Driven by her passion for medical education and advocacy for women's health and rights worldwide, Dr. Khattaby held pivotal roles at Stony Brook University Hospital. She served as the Director of Global Health Residency Rotations, overseeing training for international residents in the U.S. and U.S. Ob/Gyn residents abroad. Additionally, she served as the primary Faculty Advisor for AccessGYN, a resident-led free gynecological clinic catering to underserved and underinsured populations in New York.
Dr. Khattaby's dedication extended beyond borders as she delivered numerous lectures internationally in support of empowering and enhancing women's health in developing nations.
Her commitment to medical education earned her the role of Assistant Clerkship Director for Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stony Brook University Hospital through the Renaissance School of Medicine in New York. Throughout her tenure, she spearheaded numerous innovative educational initiatives.
Additionally, Dr. Khattaby served as a valued member of the Renaissance School of Medicine Curriculum Committee, contributing to the development and refinement of the medical school's curriculum.
She is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American Medical Association, and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Personal Note
Dr. Khattaby speaks fluent Arabic and conversational Spanish and French. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and kids, traveling, running, and hiking.
