Biography

Ishani Kumar, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Kumar earned her medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics and pediatric neurology at University of Michigan Hospitals, where she served as Chief Resident. She then received advanced training through a pediatric headache fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in neurology, with special qualification in child neurology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

Dr. Kumar is a member of several professional associations, including the American Academy of Neurology, the Child Neurology Society, and the American Headache Society.
