Biography
James D. Haddad, M.D., is an Assistant Instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in digestive and liver diseases.
Dr. Haddad earned his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego and gained advanced training in gastroenterology through a fellowship at UT Southwestern.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.
Dr. Haddad is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. In addition, he serves as an ad hoc reviewer for Foregut and the ACG Case Reports Journal.
Dr. Haddad’s clinical interests include endobariatric and metabolic therapies, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, and therapeutic and interventional endoscopy.
In 2019, he received the Sparks Award for Excellence in Internal Medicine from the American College of Physicians.
Personal Note
When he is not at work, Dr. Haddad enjoys cooking, practicing yoga, and traveling with his wife and daughter.
