Biography
Jeremy Stewart, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and video capsule endoscopy.
Dr. Stewart earned his medical degree at the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso. He completed a residency in pediatrics through the Baylor College of Medicine program at Children’s Hospital of San Antonio and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.
Dr. Stewart is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition, for which he serves on the IBD committee. He is also a member of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.
His research and clinical interests include pediatric inflammatory bowel disease, video capsule endoscopy, and medical education. He has delivered presentations and published academic articles related to his areas of expertise.
Personal Note
When he’s not at work, Dr. Stewart enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons, playing golf, coaching youth sports teams, and working out.
