Biography
Jesse Banales, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in neonatal and perinatal medicine and has special interests in medical education, communication, and resuscitation.
Dr. Banales earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine/Children’s Hospital of San Antonio and received advanced training in neonatal and perinatal medicine through a fellowship at UT Southwestern.
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021.
Dr. Banales serves on the Program Evaluation Committee for the Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine Fellowship at UT Southwestern and on the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Provider Consortium for the Parkland Health & Hospital System. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
