Biography
Jessica Mooney, M.S.N., APRN, CPNP-AC, is an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Pediatric Critical Care Division. She obtained her Masters Degree in Acute Care Pediatrics from the University of Texas Arlington. As a nurse practitioner, she has previously served in roles as a pediatric hospitalist, as well as a pediatric urgent care provider. Prior to achieving her degree as a nurse practitioner, she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama Huntsville. Her medical background includes experience in nuclear medicine, interventional cardiology/ cath lab, labor & delivery, high risk OB, adult ICU, trauma surgery, and emergency department nursing. She also spent many years as the clinical educator for the Emergency Department and Trauma Services of a very busy pediatric medical center. She has taught adult learners as a conference presenter, PALS & BLS instructor, Emergency Nurses Association (ENPC & TNCC) instructor, & as a Clinical Instructor/ Adjunct Faculty, in the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner master's level program at the University of Texas Arlington. Jessica has a very active family life, is unapologetically obsessed with all things Disney, and has a passion for travel, live music, and stage performance.
