Biography

John Muturi, M.S.N., APRN, FNP, PMHNP (bc), is a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Mr. Muturi earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in nursing specializing in Family Nurse Practice (FNP) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2010 and 2016 respectively. Soon after completed his Post-Master's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, he served as a Registered Nurse (RN) for over seven years in various inpatient care settings. Mr. Muturi is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
