Biography

Kartik Rajagopalan, M.D., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in medical critical care.

Dr. Rajagopalan earned his doctoral degree in cancer biology and his medical degree at UT Southwestern through the Medical Scientist Training Program. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center.

He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

Dr. Rajagopalan directs a research lab studying energy regulation during infection.

Personal Note

When he’s not at work, Dr. Rajagopalan enjoys reading, doing Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and hanging out with his wife and two daughters.
