Biography

Katherine Haynes, MPAS, PA-C, is a board certified Physician Assistant (PA) in the Department of Pediatrics - Pediatric Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Katherine completed her undergraduate degree from the Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and then earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from UT Southwestern School of Health Professions in 2014. She has worked in pediatric neurology since 2014 with particular experience in cerebral palsy, tuberous sclerosis, hereditary spastic paraplegia, and neurologic causes for pediatric persistent toe walking. She was published as lead author in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopedics on pediatric persistent toe walking in 2018. Most recently, she has narrowed her focus to care for patients with epilepsy, where she evaluates and treats patients with idiopathic epilepsy and epileptic syndromes.
