Biography
Kathryn Best, D.O., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Best earned her medical degree at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She completed a residency in pediatrics at UT Health San Antonio and received advanced training through a pediatric critical care fellowship at UT Southwestern.
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric critical care medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.
Dr. Best is Director of Quality for Critical Care Services at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and Plano. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
