Biography
Kelli Martinez, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in pediatric hospital medicine, medical education, and value-based care.
Dr. Martinez earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed both her residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric hospital medicine at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School.
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.
Dr. Martinez is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Texas Medical Association, and the Dallas County Medical Society.
She has delivered scores of presentations at the local and national level, contributed to Pediatric Hospital Medicine: A Case-Based Curriculum and Educational Guide, and published several academic articles related to her areas of expertise. She also has an interest in curriculum design and helped develop the inaugural Transition to Pediatric Residency course and a culinary medicine curriculum during her fellowship in Austin.
